“It’s in the simplicity of play that children sort through the complexity of life and, like puzzle pieces, put it all together to make sense of the world.”

Julie Bogart, Brave Writer
Hi! I’m Kathryn.
I’m a mother of three, a former kindergarten teacher, and an old-fashioned bookworm who believes pie is absolutely a breakfast food.
If you got married any time in the 2000’s, you might know me from my wedding site, Snippet & Ink, but these days I am fully immersed in raising my girls and making a home, and for a number of years that included homeschooling.
I started Fort Bramble as a way to share the books, songs, and activities that have brought my family joy, and my hope is that the thousands of hours I’ve spent gathering, sorting, testing, and tidying these resources will save you hours of research and overwhelm - and instead you can use that time and energy for making memories with your own children.
